project praeterea

personal creative practice

i used to share what i was working on in my personal creative practice publically. in 2022, i had something of a creative identity crisis when i realised i hadn’t enjoyed writing novels for a long time, and i needed to quit. that decision sparked a lot of revelations about how i see my creativity.

since then, i have kept some parts of my practice private and protected from the public eye and have been able to fall back in love with creating again.

project praeterea is my current personal creative project. it’s where i get to be creative just for myself, to enjoy the process. i hope it’ll be complete enough to share one day, but if it’s not, that’s okay too.

while i haven’t shared much about project praeterea except that it’s a fiction writing project, i have shared my current writing ritual in detail in my patreon library, the periodical.
